Vorys (Ohio/Texas): Michigan Enacts Covid-19 Business Immunity and Employee Protection Laws

On October 22, 2020, Michigan enacted four COVID-related laws that provide protections to businesses and to employees. Three of the laws provide broad civil immunity to persons from COVID-19 claims when they comply with the legal requirements related to COVID-19 that were in effect at the time. The fourth law prohibits discharging, disciplining, or retaliating against employees who stay home because they test positive for COVID-19. MORE.
